Single vehicle crash - Victoria Highway

Northern Territory Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a single vehicle crash that occurred yesterday evening on the Victoria Highway.

The Toyota Landcruiser rolled approximately 63 kilometres west of Katherine, with the two occupants airlifted to hospital in Darwin.

The 22-year-old male driver was initially trapped in the vehicle and was extricated by members of the NT Fire and Rescue Service.

The male remains in hospital today in a serious condition with pelvic and chest injuries.

The vehicle has been seized by police for examination and further enquiries are being conducted to determine why the vehicle crashed.
