The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a single vehicle traffic crash in Rockhampton early this morning which has left a man with critical injuries, Queensland Police say.
Initial investigations indicate at 2am, a vehicle was travelling east on Lakes Creek Road when it crossed the road and crashed into a tree in Koongal.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 20-year-old local man, was transported to Rockhampton Hospital.
He was later airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with critical injuries.
Police are encouraging anyone who has any information about the crash or who has dashcam footage, to contact Policelink on 131 444.
Investigations are continuing.
