Six firearms stolen in Lima South

Benalla Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after six firearms were stolen in Lima South in July.

Police were told a shotgun, three high-powered rifles, a rim fire rifle and an air rifle were taken from a property on Midland Highway at some point between 30 June and 9 July.

The victim, a 69-year-old man, discovered the firearms were missing from his safe on Saturday, 9 July.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing
