Sleeping woman pinned to bed by SUV crashing into house at Bargo

A sleeping woman was trapped in her bed when an SUV crashed into her home at Bargo overnight.

Emergency services were called to Jack Davis Place about 11.40pm yesterday (Saturday 5 June 2021), and found the SUV had crashed into the front bedroom, pinning a 54-year-old woman by her legs.

A 46-year-old woman driving the vehicle was also trapped.

NSW Ambulance and NSW Fire and Rescue worked to free both women.

The resident was taken to Campbelltown Hospital where she is being treated for a minor injury to her left leg.

The driver was taken to Liverpool Hospital where she is being checked as well as undergoing mandatory testing. She is also from Bargo.

A man and two teenage girls were in different rooms of the house and escaped injury.

The house sustained significant structural damage.

Inquiries continue by officers from Camden Police Area Command.
