The City of Ballarat committed $1.6 million for the implementation of a new technology solution as part of the Smarter Parking Plan implementation for the 2019/20 financial year.
The report to procure the technology goes to Council in camera on 11 September. After that, the procurement process will commence immediately with the anticipated rollout to be undertaken as soon as possible. It will be scheduled around peak retail shopping periods to cause the least amount of disruption.
Ten companies put in tenders for the contract.
