Snapped in Richmond

Yarra Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following an aggravated burglary in Richmond last month. .

Detectives believe an unknown man gained entry to a secure car park of a Oxford Street apartment building about 6.30am on 3 July.

Once inside the man attempted to gain entry to multiple vehicles with no luck before entering a foyer.

A resident of the building confronted him in the foyer and managed to take a photo of the man.

The man threatened the resident with a knife before fleeing the scene empty handed.

The victim was unharmed.

Investigators have released images of a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived to be African in appearance and was wearing a green jacket, a Tommy Hilfiger cap and was carrying black satchel type bag.
