Snowy Monaro Regional Council hosts first B2B expo

Snowy Monaro Regional Council delivered a new initiative in support of local business last week with the first-ever Snowy Monaro Business to Business Expo at Jindabyne Memorial Hall.

Officially opened with remarks from Clr. John Castellari, the event brought together dozens of local operators all in one place to showcase the amazing versatility and capability of the Snowy Monaro business community. A one-stop-shop for new collaborations and networking opportunities, the event is part of Council's ongoing support of economic development of the region.

"Studies have shown the multiplier effect that occurs when money and economic output stays local," said Mayor Peter Beer, Snowy Monaro Regional Council.

"When local businesses supply, buy and support each other our economic prosperity circulates within the region and benefits the entire community - from primary producers to professional services to individuals."

"That's why it's so important that this kind of intra-regional collaboration is fostered and promoted here in the Snowy Monaro."

Made possible with support of Business Australia and funding from round one of the Bushfire Community Recovery & Economic Resilience Fund, the event is only a part of Council's ongoing plan to promote and support local business.
