Council has resolved to give the community and interested residents the opportunity to form a community-led working group (with partners) to develop a proposal for repurposing the Snowy River Hostel site. This follows a vote held in the confidential section of the second session of Snowy Monaro Regional Council's October Ordinary Council Meeting on Wednesday 29 October 2025.
The decision brings to an end the formal expression of interest process that commenced in early 2024.
Council will support the community-led working group's operations by providing a meeting space.
