Kiama Council will be holding it's Sorry Day Ceremony this Thursday (26 May), from 10.00am, outside the Old Council Chambers on Manning St.

Each year Council hosts a local Sorry Day Ceremony to reinforce the community's strong commitment to reconciliation.

Cr. Stuart Larkin will lead the ceremony, which includes a flag raising and Welcome to Country by Aunty Gwenda Jarrett along with a smoking ceremony.

National Sorry Day is an annual day of commemoration and remembrance of all those who have been affected by the government policies of forcible removal that have resulted in the Stolen Generations.
