South Australia coronovirus update as at 24 August

The Department of Health has reported one new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia overnight, taking the State's total to 653.

The new case is a man in his 50s who has travelled from overseas. He is currently in hotel quarantine.

To date, 635 confirmed cases have recovered from the virus in WA, and there are nine active cases.

Yesterday 462 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics - 455 were assessed and 452 were swabbed.

There have been 307,797 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 50,849 were from regional WA.
