South Australia coronovirus update as at 8 March 2021

There are no new cases of COVID-19 today. There have been a total of 618 cases notified in South Australia.

Positive COVID-19 wastewater results were detected in a catchment which includes the Northern part of the Adelaide CBD over the weekend. SA Health is reviewing the distribution of old cases in medi-hotels in this catchment area. The wastewater samples from this catchment have been recollected and results are expected later this evening.

At this stage, given that there is as yetno clear explanation to the wastewater detection result, it's imperative thatanyone who has been in the Adelaide CBD in the past week seek immediate testingif they have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild.
