South Hedland Armed Robbery Arrest, WA

South Hedland Detectives have charged a 24 year old woman as a result of their investigation into a burglary and stealing incident that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday 19 December 2017.

It will be alleged around 2:15am, the woman broke into a home on Chunking Crescent and was confronted by an occupant of the home, WA Police say.

It is further alleged an altercation took place between the woman and a female occupant (in her 60s) during which the victim received a laceration to her body.

It will also be alleged the woman fled in a vehicle stolen from the Chunking Crescent residence and later the same day she stole a truck from a mine site located on Marble Bar Road.

Inquiries by Detectives resulted in her being apprehended in Marble Bar.

She is due to appear before the South Hedland Magistrates Court today (20 December 2017) charged with:-

•Two counts of Steal a Motor Vehicle;

•One count of Aggravated Home Burglary and Commit;

•One count of Aggravated Armed Robbery;

•One count of Aggravated Unlawful Wounding; and

•One count of Armed Robbery (unrelated incident).
