Speeding driver caught 79km/h over speed limit , SA

A teenager will face court after he was travelling at 79km/h above local speed limit Salisbury East last night, according to SA Police.

Just after 7pm on Friday 26 October, police were conducting speed detection duties on Clayson Road which runs between Bridge Road and Main North Road when he detected a VZ Commodore sedan travelling east at 129km/h in a 50km/h speed zone.

The police patrol couldn't stop the speeding driver at the time, but attended the registered owner's home address a short time later and located the vehicle

An 18-year-old Wynn Vale man was reported for driving at speed dangerous to the public. His car was impounded and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
