Speeding driver caught by camera, South Australia

A woman will appear in court after she was caught driving at high speed on the Northern Expressway last month.

Police will allege that about 6.45am on Saturday 26 January, a speed camera recorded a Ford station wagon travelling at 181km/h in a 110km/h zone at Ward Belt.

The information was passed on to Barossa Highway Patrol enquiry officers, who interviewed the driver today (Thursday, 14 February).

The 38-year-old Willaston woman was reported for driving at a dangerous speed, and she will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Her car was not impounded, as it was extensively damaged in a crash yesterday.
