Fawkner Highway Patrol officers detected and intercepted a speeding vehicle in Campbellfield yesterday afternoon (11 March).
A grey Jeep Cherokee was detected by laser allegedly travelling at 137km/h along an 80km/h zone on Sydney Road about 4.20pm.
The Jeep was intercepted and police spoke to a 38-year-old woman from Roxburgh Park.
The woman told police she believed she was travelling within the speed limit and was allegedly unaware that the settings on her speedometer had been changed from metric to imperial by her husband.
The car was impounded with $896.10 towing costs and the woman is expected to be charged with speed related offences.
