Spreading Christmas Cheer At Flinders With Police Link

Southern District police spread Christmas joy to sick young patients at Flinders Medical Centre yesterday as part of the annual Police Link Christmas visit.

On Tuesday 24 December officers visited the Paediatric Ward and Paediatric Emergency Department with Police Dogs Fang and Goldie who were a hit with the young patients. Santa and his trusty elf also came along, as well as a face painter!

With support from the Police Credit Union, gifts were given out to all the children which created smiles all round for patients, parents and hospital staff.

Police Link sees police officers visit the Women's and Children's Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre several times throughout the year to positively engage with childrenwho are unwell or undergoing medical treatment for serious health issues. Each visit involves police delivering crime prevention messages while building kids' trust and confidence in SAPOL.
