St Kilda Probe: Affray, Gunfire Under Investigation

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate after a firearm was discharged during an affray in St Kilda on Sunday.

Officers arrested three women and three men following the incident in the vicinity of Park and Mary streets on 3 August about 11.15am.

Police attended the scene after several callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a group men and women were fighting in the street and a gunshot was heard.

The group dispersed and tried to flee the scene before the women, two aged 24 and one aged 26 and the men, two aged 22 and one aged 24 - were arrested nearby.

As part of the investigation detectives also executed a warrant at a property in Barkley Street where a quantity of drugs and cash was seized.

Those arrested have been interviewed and released pending summons.

The investigation remains ongoing.

There were no reports of injuries.
