Northern Territory Police have responded to a stabbing on Smith Street in Darwin this morning.
At 4:50am, police received reports of an injured male with a suspected stab wound. Police and St John Ambulance arrived on scene confirming the man had suffered a puncture wound to the abdomen.
St John Ambulance conveyed the man to Royal Darwin Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Investigations remain ongoing.
