Camden's rising young creatives are ready to take centre stage, with tickets now on sale for this year's Camden Shorts event.

Held as part of Youth Week celebrations, Camden Shorts will light up the Camden Civic Centre on Sunday 19 April from 2pm, showcasing an exciting mix of live performance and artistic talent.

Audiences can expect an inspiring and diverse program featuring dance, poetry, classical music, musical theatre and solo and duo acts, all performed by talented young locals.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said the event was a highlight of the Youth Week calendar and a powerful platform for emerging artists.

"Camden Shorts is all about celebrating the creativity, passion and talent of our young people," she said.

"This showcase gives local performers the opportunity to step into the spotlight, often for the first time, and share their stories and skills with the community.

"Events like this not only support our young creatives but also bring our community together to champion the next generation of artists. I would encourage our residents to buy a ticket, come along and support our young people - all while having a great afternoon out."

Tickets are just $10 and are on sale now. With limited seating available, residents are encouraged to secure their tickets early and show their support for Camden's up-and-coming performers.
