I am deeply concerned about the news reports that some university students (including two HKU students) were arrested yesterday after the recent protests, as this may affect their future.

I urge all students to act in a civil, rational and peaceful manner and do not participate in any violent action. I would like all students to accord personal safety as their first and foremost priority.
