This morning Sam Groth informed me of his decision not to contest the November 2026 state election.
On behalf of the Victorian Liberal Party, I thank Sam for his contribution over the past three years and advocacy for communities within the Nepean electorate.
The demands of public life can take a significant toll on personal and family relationships. This is an opportunity to reflect on those challenges and the need to do more to ensure a political career is a viable choice for as many in the community as possible.
I wish Sam, Britt and their family all the best as they pursue new opportunities beyond November 2026.
