Today I will be travelling to China and will return to Victoria on 9 November.
China is Australia's largest trading partner, and Victoria's cultural and economic ties with China run deep.
This visit is an important opportunity to engage with key stakeholders, strengthen relationships, and promote Victoria's interests abroad, as well as look at new ways to grow our own economy.
I look forward to continuing constructive dialogue and building on the longstanding connections between our communities
Across the visit, I will travel to Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Suzhou. Shadow Treasurer Jess Wilson and Shadow Minister for Community Services Nick McGowan will also be travelling with me.
