Frankie Carroll has advised that he will be leaving the Suburban Rail Loop Authority - concluding his role as CEO.
He has led the organisation through a critical period of planning and early delivery - providing stability, expertise and direction as we awarded major tunnelling contracts and got on with major works, while preparing for tunnelling to begin next year.
I thank him for his contribution to one of Australia's most significant housing and infrastructure projects and for his dedication to the team.
Kevin Devlin, the Director General for the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority will serve as the Suburban Rail Loop's interim CEO from Monday, 5 January.
Mr Devlin's interim appointment brings extensive project delivery experience to the role after helping to build and open the Metro Tunnel and West Gate Tunnel - and I look forward to working with him as he leads the next stage of Australia's largest housing and transport infrastructure project.
The Suburban Rail Loop remains on time and on budget - with thousands of construction workers busy across all sites as construction milestones continue to be achieved.
The Suburban Rail Loop will slash travel times and cut congestion for busy families - while delivering 70,000 more homes within walking distance to jobs, healthcare, green open spaces and Australia's largest universities.
