Statement from Tourism Minister Paul Papalia

“I was deeply saddened to hear of the tragic death of Troy Thomas. My thoughts are with Troy’s loved ones and the other victims of this terrible accident.

“Troy was a valued member of Western Australia’s tourism industry and a passionate advocate for his beloved Kimberley region. Through his award winning business, he shared this very special part of Western Australia with thousands of people from around the world each year.

“The Western Australian tourism industry has lost a valued leader and a good friend. On behalf of the State Government, I would like to extend my condolences to the bereaved families. Our thoughts are also with those who have been hospitalised.”
