Stealing and wilful damage, Auchenflower

Police are seeking public assistance to help identify two men following a stealing matter that occurred in Auchenflower Monday morning.

Around 1.16am a white Toyota Hilux utility was used to smash into a parking ticket machine located in a Lang Parade multi-storey carpark.

Police will allege the two men then used a number of tools to force open the machine before they fitted a chain around an internal safe and removed it.

The machine was dragged approximately 50 metres before causing a significant amount of damage.

The internal safe is described as being 40 centimetres wide and about 180 centimetres in height.

Investigations indicate the ute had been stolen from a Turner Avenue address in Fairfield on Saturday.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage about this matter to contact police.
