Stealing charges in Dirranbandi, QLD

Detectives have charged two men with a number of stealing offences following an investigation into property theft at a farm on Cubbie Road.

It is alleged sometime between October 1 and November 27 two men stole a quantity of tools and farm machinery from storage containers on the property.

A 36-year-old Dirranbandi man has been charged with entering a premises to commit an indictable offence, receiving tainted property, unlawful possession of weapons and possession of a drug utensil.

A 27-year-old Dirranbandi man has been charged with entering a premises to commit an indictable offence, receiving tainted property and firearms charges.

Both men will appear in Saint George Magistrates Court on March 12.

Detective Inspector Mat Kelly said this is a great result for the St George community and local police.

"Information gleaned from the community has assisted in this outstanding result. Local police will continue to disrupt and dismantle property crime and drug supply networks across the South West District to deter any criminal behaviour."
