Police have charged a woman after she was allegedly located in possession of a stolen vehicle at a Stafford car wash last week.
Shortly after 4.30pm on Thursday, 24 July, an off-duty police officer observed the woman cleaning a white BMW 126i at a carwash on Stafford Road.
Police will allege the vehicle was stolen from a Taringa address on 19 July.
When responding police searched the vehicle, they allegedly located a box-cutter knife and used hypodermic syringe and needle.
A 27-year-old woman has been charged with one count each of receiving tainted property, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of a knife in a public place, obstruct police officer, driving of a motor vehicle without a licence, and fail to properly dispose of needle and syringe.
The woman was remanded in custody and is next expected to reappear before Brisbane Magistrate Court on 28 July.
