Stolen Motor Vehicle - Palmerston

The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating a stolen motor vehicle after it was found abandoned following a police pursuit.

Around 9.40pm on Sunday, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that a white Toyota Hilux utility had been stolen from an address on Wilson Crescent in Moil.

The motor vehicle was observed in the Palmerston area and a police pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit was terminated when vision of the vehicle was lost but it was initiated again when it was observed in the Moulden area.

The pursuit was terminated again after losing sight of the vehicle.

The Hilux was later located abandoned on Lockwood Court, Moulden.

Members of the public reported the alleged offender was seen fleeing through a residence on Lockwood Court towards Chung Wah Terrace.

The alleged offender remains outstanding and investigations are ongoing.

Those with CCTV in the vicinity at the time are urged to review their footage.
