Police have charged two men after a stolen vehicle was intercepted near Blackbutt yesterday, 14 December.
Around 4.45am, a silver Mazda 6 was allegedly stolen from outside an address on Chardean Street, Acacia Ridge.
Police located the vehicle travelling on the D'Aguilar Highway near Blackbutt around 2.25pm that day before the successful deployment of a tyre deflation device.
After the vehicle came to a stop, the two male occupants allegedly fled the vehicle on foot but were located by police a short time later.
A 27-year-old Cherbourg man and a 37-year-old Woodridge man have each been charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
They are due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court today, 15 December.
