Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch have charged four teenagers following the alleged unlawful use of a stolen vehicle and a dangerous driving incident at Slacks Creek on 30 December.
Police will allege that around 8.30pm, a Mercedes Benz Utility, which had been reported stolen from Wellington Point on 28 December, was sighted by officers at Muchow Road in Waterford West.
The Mercedes Benz was tracked by POLAIR, and a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed around 9.10pm on the Logan Motorway at Meadowbrook.
The vehicle later came to a stop on Charles Street at Beenleigh, where four occupants allegedly fled on foot before being located a short time later and arrested by police.
During a search of the Mercedes Benz, police located suspected stolen property, a knife, cannabis and drug utensils.
A 16-year-old Logan Reserve boy has been charged with two counts of attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle (night), and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle (publish on social media), unlawful possession of suspected stolen property, stealing, and enter dwelling and commit.
He is due to reappear at Beenleigh Childrens Court on 12 January.
A 14-year-old Park Ridge boy has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 15-year-old Beenleigh boy has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle in company, and fraud.
Both are due to reappear at Beenleigh Childrens Court on 23 January.
A 13-year-old Park Ridge boy has been charged with three counts of enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, two counts each of attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle (night) and stealing, and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle (publish on social media), enter dwelling and commit, enter dwelling with intent, attempted enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, and trespass.
He is due to reappear at Beenleigh Childrens Court on 27 January.
