ACTION STATEMENTS:

• Do not enter flood waters

• In a life threatening situation call 000
• Take extra care on the roads, visit https://roadreport.nt.gov.au for latest road conditions
• Drive slowly and be aware of emergency services personnel who are still working in the area
• Be aware of potentially contaminated water supplies
ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:
Severe thunderstorms over northern parts of the Carpentaria have eased.
Weather Situation: A very humid airmass persists over the Top End. While thunderstorms have eased, the risk of further heavy rainfall remains overnight.
This warning is now cancelled.
The Northern Territory Emergency Service advises that people should:
• avoid driving into water of unknown depth and current
• stay away from fallen power lines. They are dangerous and should always be treated as live
• stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways
