Story Time sessions return to libraries, parks, community venues

Toowoomba Regional Council's (TRC) popular free Story Time sessions for children under five have returned to libraries, parks and community venues.

TRC Library and Cultural Services portfolio leader Cr Tim McMahon said he was pleased to note the extension of the First 5 Forever Story Time program across the Region during term three.

"The program helps children up to five years establish literacy foundations in a fun and supportive outing with their families and carers," Cr McMahon said.

"A child's early years are an important stage in their overall development, particularly their literacy and general learning.

"The First 5 Forever Story Time program acknowledges families' primary importance as their child's first and most important teachers.
