Goulburn's Sister City - Shibetsu has sent five students on a student exchange to Goulburn today, Friday 28 July. They will depart on Friday 4 August 2023.

In addition to a tour of Goulburn, students were treated to an afternoon tea at Council's Civic Centre.

"The sister city relationship between Goulburn and Shibetsu has been a valuable cultural exchange for our community, and we look forward to continuing to build upon this partnership in the future." said Mayor Peter Walker.

"During each term of Council a student exchange takes place, we will be sending selected students to Shibetsu, around the July school holiday period next year." Mayor Walker continued.

The students will be hosted by Trinity Catholic College families and will attend classes at Trinity Catholic College and Goulburn High School.

For a truly unique hands-on experience, a trip to the Taralga Wildlife Park has been planned.

Students and host families will be treated to a farewell dinner at the Grace Millsom Centre.
