Strike Force Euroa Seizes $300K+ Drugs, Additional Charges Laid

Further charges have been laid after prohibited drugs worth over $300,000 were seized throughout Western and Northern regions during a targeted police operation.

In September 2023, officers attached to Chifley Police District established Strike Force Euroa to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Bathurst and surrounding areas.

Six people have since been charged after vehicle stops and search warrants in Western and Northern region. They were charged with drug-related offences and remain before the courts.

During the searches, police located and seized over 600g of methylamphetamine, as well as cocaine, cash, unauthorised prescription medication, drug paraphernalia, and electronic devices.

The drugs have an estimated potential street value of more than $300,000.

Following inquiries, about 10.25am on Wednesday (24 April 2024), police attended Sydney airport and arrested a 29-year-old woman.

She was taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug > large commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug > indictable

The woman was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Local Court yesterday (Thursday 25 April 2024), where she was formally refused bail to appear at Bathurst Local Court on Tuesday 25 June 2024.

Inquiries are continuing.
