Strike Force Raptor arrest man and seize pistol after targeting FPO search

Strike Force Raptor investigators have arrested a man and seized a pistol as part of a major disruption operation targeting criminal networks in Sydney's south-west.

Just before 7am today (Tuesday 27 October 2020), officers from the Criminal Groups Squad's Strike Force Raptor, conducted a Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) and Weapons Prohibition Order (WPO) search at a home at Market Street, Condell Park.

During the search, officers located a Glock pistol under a lounge cushion, and an amount of unidentified white powder.

All items will be sent for further examination.

A 25-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Bankstown Police Station, where charges are expected to be laid.

Investigations are continuing.
