More than 30 local business owners attended Chapter 2 of the Griffith Business Playbook series last night, gaining practical financial skills to help strengthen and grow their businesses.
Presented by Rebecca Crombie from Crombie Accounting, the workshop covered key topics including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, profit margins, break-even points and pricing strategies. Participants also took part in interactive activities and group discussions.
The series is being delivered in collaboration with Griffith City Council, Griffith Business Chamber and Griffith Women in Business, with Chapter 3 set down for September.
Council's Economic Development Coordinator, Karly Sivewright said it was encouraging to see so many local businesses investing in their future.
"It is really fantastic to see over 30 business owners take time out of their day to invest in working on their business," Ms Sivewright said.
"I also appreciate the support Council has received from Griffith Business Chamber and Griffith Women in Business for this event."
Feedback from participants highlighted the value of the practical content, with attendees reporting a greater understanding of costing, financial reporting and business profitability.
The Griffith Business Playbook is a free business resilience workshop series, with each chapter designed to stand alone while contributing to a complete business toolkit.
