Strong winds cause temporary closure of Bulwinkle Park Alstonville

Ballina Shire Council has temporarily closed Bulwinkle Park, Alstonville to remove a fallen tree and is working with Essential Energy to restore fallen power lines.

The park's footbridge, which connects Alstonville to Wollongbar, is also closed and will remain closed until Council completes these urgent restoration works.

Power lines have also been damaged on Lismore Road, which may cause some traffic delays. Traffic control is currently in place to manage traffic flows and Essential Energy is on site to restore the infrastructure.
