The Red Cross recently visited the Pomonal Primary School to conduct a 'Pillowcase Workshop', which was also attended by students from other regional primary schools.
The sessions helped students to understand different types of emergencies and what they could expect to happen during and after an emergency like fire, flood and storm.
The children also decorated a pillowcase to take home to form part of their own personal emergency kit, so, if they were faced with an evacuation, they had something to pop their nominated items in.
Thank you to the Red Cross volunteers who take the time to deliver these programs across the regions and to the Pomonal Primary School for offering to host this very important program.
ARCC continues to work with local communities recovering from bushfire, in partnership with other agencies including Grampians Community Health.
