Study Australia student journey mapping project series 1 June

Austrade

In part two of Austrade's series on Student Journey Mapping, we are sharing key findings from sector consultations. These findings will be used to inform our understanding of how Austrade's Study Australia website can better support a digital transformation agenda and drive a pipeline of qualified student leads directly to providers.

For this project, Austrade partnered with Edified to build an international student digital journey map that will help the sector to better meet the information needs of prospective students at at every stage on their pathway to an Australian education; gaining insight into what they think about and who they are influenced by in the decision-making process.

To this end, Edified conducted focus groups, student panels, stakeholder interviews, parent research and a digital service platform review to collect the data with a focus on information needs, types and preferred channels across the key stakeholder groups.

One of the main objectives of this research project was to inform Austrade's ongoing development of the Study Australia website as a trusted and effective digital marketing and recruitment service for our international education audiences and sector stakeholders.

Part one of this series covered what a student journey map is and why it is important.

For part two, we are sharing the Student Journey Mapping Summary Report.

In part three of this series next week, we'll share a finished student journey map as a shared resource for provider and stakeholder adaptation.
