Council considered the Sturt Street proposal as part of the broader Ballarat Safer Cycling Connections project in 2018.
As part of that resolution, council requested VicRoads undertake detailed consultation along with further design and costings with council to reconsider this at a future council meeting.
Council will formalise its position in relation to this matter at a meeting in March where it will also consider the position of Sturt Street, which council controls from Dawson Street to Grenville Street.
