Sydney's North Shore Private Hospital is preparing to welcome patients to its new $11 million Day Surgery Unit, which will offer luxurious hotel-style ambience and high-class care.
The facility's construction and fit-out is now complete, featuring three large operating theatres, private pre-operative bays, a recovery lounge, and an inviting reception and waiting area topped off with mood lighting.
Hospital CEO Richard Ryan said the next step was to stock the unit with medical equipment and supplies before opening to patients.
"These new facilities enhance the patient experience and complement the outstanding care provided by our North Shore Private Hospital team," Mr Ryan said.
"Our hospital staff and medical specialists are looking forward to providing patient care from our new facilities in early August."
Located on the podium level of the North Shore Health Hub with a link bridge to North Shore Private Hospital, the development is a three-way collaboration also involving Ramsay Health Care Development and building firm Akalan Projects.
