Running coach and Runna co-founder Ben Parker returned to the University of Southampton to collect an award and lead a fun run - all in one day.
Alongside his Runna co-founder Dom Maskell, Ben won the Rising Star Award in the university's annual Outstanding Alumni Awards.
After collecting the award at a graduation ceremony in Southampton's O2 Guildhall, Ben led a group of runners on a 5K jog from the university's Highfield Campus.
He said: "It's been amazing returning to Southampton - I haven't been back since I was a student, so it is great to be back on campus and to see all the fantastic new sports facilities.
"I wanted to lead a run whilst I'm here mostly because I love running! But also to meet and chat to people. Runna is all about helping people achieve their running goals - for some, that's about distance and times, but for others taking up running can be life changing. I love hearing other people's running stories."
Ben, 30, and Dom, 31, both graduated from the University of Southampton in 2017.
They have since had huge success with their running coaching app Runna, which is now used in more than 180 countries worldwide. The company has grown into a global fitness platform, employing more than 200 people and supporting millions of runners.
Ben and Dom were awarded the Rising Star Award in recognition of their innovation, ambition and leadership.
Ben, a certified England Athletics running and triathlon coach and Ironman Coach, added: "Winning any award feels crazy, and it's a byproduct of the impact Runna has had. To be in the graduation ceremony and on the stage wasn't something I ever expected to happen, it was a real honour."
Joanne Donahoe, Executive Director of Development and Alumni relations at the university, said: "Ben Parker and Dom Maskell won the Rising Star Award as proof of what a University of Southampton degree can do. They turned the coaching and engineering expertise they built here into Runna, the world's top-rated running app.
"Their success reflects the university's role in nurturing entrepreneurial talent that improves lives around the globe.
