Police are investigating the sudden death of a man on the Gold Coast overnight, June 28.
Initial investigations indicate that emergency services were called to Beale Street, Southport around 10:30pm following reports of a man being found unresponsive.
The 44-year-old man was initially transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital but was declared deceased some time later.
Officers were then notified of the man's death early Sunday morning.
A crime scene has been declared at Beale Street and investigations into the circumstances of the man's death are ongoing.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information that may assist investigations to come forward.
