More than 70 stallholders from around the state, including 20 exhibiting for the first time, will be on show at the annual Taste of Summer festival in Hobart starting today.
Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events, Jane Howlett, said Taste of Summer was a highlight of the State's events calendar.
"Taste of Summer, under previous and more recent branding, has been running for almost 40 years, and its recent Silver award at the Tasmanian Tourism Awards recognises its significance to the State," Minister Howlett said.
"The line up of stallholders this year once again shows the high calibre of produce and diversity of cuisine on offer in Tasmania.
"Festival-goers will be treated to a well-rounded entertainment program featuring the sounds of many local Tasmanian artists, with New Year's Eve headlined by Adelaide band Hindley Street Country Club."
Minister Howlett said families could also enjoy free entry from 12pm to 4pm at The City of Hobart Community Day on Wednesday, 31 December.
"The Tasmanian Government is proud to support an event that celebrates Tasmania's food, drink and entertainment culture, and one that consistently attracts intrastate and interstate visitors," Minister Howlett said.
"We are delivering for Tasmanians by supporting events, such as Taste of Summer, which are incredibly important to Tasmania's visitor economy.
"Not only do they provide a reason for visitors to travel to Tasmania, we know they also significantly boost the tourism and hospitality sectors in every corner of our State."
The Taste of Summer runs from 27 December 2025 to 3 January 2026 at Hobart's PW1. Tickets are currently on sale at www.tasteofsummer.com.au
