Suncorp Super Netball on Nine Indigenous Round

Suncorp Super Netball celebrates Indigenous Round this weekend on Nine and 9Now.

In round eight, every team will wear a unique uniform with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artwork designed by a local club artist, and also play with a specially designed match ball.

Sunshine Coast Lightning will have the home ground advantage against the Collingwood Magpies at USC Stadium on the Sunshine Coast this Saturday at 3.00pm on Nine and 9Now. The Magpies’ fiery mid-courter Kim Ravaillion will play her 100th national league match as her team face dynamic defender and leading intercept machine Karla Pretorius.

Host Aislin Kriukelis will be joined by fellow Queenslander and sideline commentator Laura Geitz, along with caller Seb Costello and expert commentator Liz Ellis.

The Queensland Firebirds hope this will be the week they break the drought and get their first win of the season when they host the third-place Melbourne Vixens in Brisbane on Sunday at 1.00pm on Nine and 9Now. The Firebirds, semi-finalists last year, will be without injured star shooter Romelda Aiken as they come up against the side with the most players in the Australian Diamonds.

Nine’s Saturday commentary team will also do the Firebirds versus Vixens game.
