Southport is about to explode with live music, vibrant art, and unbeatable vibes as Sundown takes over Nerang Street in Southport on Saturday 26 July from 3pm.
Following last year's debut Sundown is back bringing with it an epic line-up of Aussie musos, a new DJ Laneway and fresh art by street artist Smalls.
The free, all-ages event, presented by the City of Gold Coast, is being headlined by Australian indie rock favourites, Teenage Dads and DICE.
Victorian band Teenage Dads made their mark on the music scene with their unique take on the Australian indie genre and energetic music sets – scoring them fans from across the globe and landing them the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist ARIA Award in 2023.
Hailing from Western Australia, DICE has quickly carved out their place in the music scene becoming well-known amongst festival goers for their high-energy, electrifying live sets. From Triple J's Unearthed to a World Tour with sell-out shows DICE aren't showing any signs of slowing down.
Joining the line-up are South East Queensland locals Betty Taylor, Brave Daisy, Lara Estel, Nicka35, Pia Pressure, Vices and Vlads.
Sundown supports emerging homegrown talent while making live music accessible to fans across the Gold Coast.
"The City is excited to be bringing Sundown back to Southport this year to celebrate our homegrown Aussie artists," said Division 6 Councillor Brooke Patterson.
"This is a free event for all Gold Coasters so come along to Southport and experience a truly vibrant atmosphere with epic beats as well as colourful art displays and an array of food options nearby."
"Southport has come alive with live music venues in recent years so once the festival is done, there will be plenty of options to kick on into the night."
