Supporting growth in Milton - Ulladulla area

The community is invited to get involved in shaping the future of Milton, Ulladulla, and surrounds by providing feedback on a list of sites which could potentially house new development in the future.

Council has prepared a Preliminary Growth Scenario of the options to start the planning for the additional 3,700 people forecasted to live in the area by 2050.

"During the past two years, we have been revisiting our long-term land use planning for Milton-Ulladulla to identify ways to provide new and different types of homes to meet anticipated demand," said Director City Futures, Carey McIntyre.

"The next stage of our work is asking for community feedback on the options," Mr McIntyre said.

"This is just the start of the conversation. We have a long planning journey ahead of us, with many considerations, before decisions can be made. Community feedback is essential to ensure informed decisions can be made," he said.

The consultation documents include a series of maps of potential growth options, an explanatory statement, and supporting fact sheets.

Community drop-in information sessions are being run throughout November to provide an opportunity for the community to view the exhibition documents and speak to Council staff.

The next drop-in session is from 4pm to 7pm, Thursday 24 November at the CWA Hall - 55 Wason Street, Milton.

Feedback, including an online survey, is open until Friday 20 January and can be seen on the Get Involved web page.
