Supporting outdoor dining: Campaspe Shire

Outdoor seating

Campaspe Shire business operators and traders are invited to register their interest for the installation of permanent umbrella sleeves to support outdoor dining.

General Manager Community, Keith Oberin said this new initiative is designed to activate streetscapes and support local hospitality and food operators.

"The initiative presents an opportunity to expand and improve outdoor dining across Campaspe," Mr Oberin said.

Council has received a Victoria Government grant which will cover the design and construction costs associated with the umbrella sleeves. Business owners will be responsible for providing umbrellas.

"We encourage applicable businesses to submit an obligation free application which will then be considered following a site inspection by Council's infrastructure staff," Mr Oberin said.

Online applications are available on Councils website and will close Friday, 19 February.
