Supporting Territory Screen Industry - Inaugural Generate Enterprise Grants and Round 3 Screen Territory Grants

Minister for Tourism, Sport and Culture, Lauren Moss today announced six local Screen Industry business and practitioners will share $480,000 through the Territory Governments new Generate Enterprise Grants.

Launched in April the Generate Enterprise Grants expands the NT Government support for the NT screen industrys development, sustainability, and future growth of local productions.

Generate Enterprise funding of $480,000 has been provided to six filmmakers or companies to support strategies designed to build capacity and sustainability for the Northern Territory screen sector, including:

  • Thomas Lawrence
  • Exposure Productions
  • Chili Films
  • Alex Kelly
  • 360 Degree Films
  • PAW Productions

The Minister also announced $120,000 in Screen Territory Round 3 Grants to support local filmmakers and the development of the NT screen industry.

Darwin Film Society received $20,000 audience development funding to deliver the 10th Darwin International Film Festival (DIFF) which provides Territory audiences the opportunity to see and experience quality screen content.

An additional $15,000 industry development grant was provided to Darwin Film Society to support DIFFs NT Screen Summit 2019 which creates professional development and skills training opportunities for Territory screen practitioners.

A total of $85,000 in story development funding will support ten Territory filmmakers to explore the potential of creative ideas through the development of a proposal and support materials, including:
