Two sporting surveys are now open seeking input from clubs and women in sport to help Colac Otway Shire Council support sport and recreation.
The 2025 Sport and Recreation Survey is seeking input from local sports clubs and recreation groups in the shire. It covers areas such as trends and challenges, as well as planning for future programs, funding applications, and club development training opportunities.
Representatives of sporting clubs can fill out the survey at https://forms.office.com/r/eHvdYYs8RS
A second survey for Women and Girls in Sport and Recreation is also open.
The quick five-minute survey is asking women and girls about their participation and satisfaction in community sport.
The anonymous survey covers reasons why women and girls participate in sport, barriers they face and changes they'd like to see.
The survey is online at https://forms.office.com/r/3YCVaXDR1p
Recreation and Open Space Coordinator Nicole Frampton encouraged people in the sporting community to share their insights in the surveys.
"These surveys give us a clear picture of how local clubs operate and their understanding of fair access, so we can support them in planning for a strong future in sport and recreation," Ms Frampton said.
"Sport and recreation bring people together, keep us healthy and active, and build strong communities - that's why your input is so important," she said.
"By sharing your views, you're helping create opportunities for everyone to enjoy sport and recreation in Colac Otway."
Both surveys are now open and will close on Friday 19 December.
